A Man Named Anaphora

Sneaking ‘round in my parent’s house
Trying to act like a brown field mouse
I went far into the yard, I was mad and keeping my guard
I met a man named Anaphora
He was big on fauna and flora
He wore a suit with a flower design, not a single thing like mine

On his head he had a fedora
This strange Mr. Anaphora
Sticking out of his covered cranium was a red geranium

He was different
He was strange
He was not at all what you’d expect to find in the modern age

His shoes were also very odd
They were covered up by sod
And in this earth were plants you see, daffodils, tulips, and bright pansies

He was different
He was strange

He was friendly
He was sad
He was just the sort of a person who could never get mad at a kid

Oh, a strange one this Anaphora
Wearing that quite odd fedora
If you ever see him around, he’d appreciate a bag of ground
