Collaboration with author/pilot Mark Berry, as a companion piece to an article he wrote for "Airways" magazine. They are instructions about the rules for flying small drones in the USA.

I have written three other songs with Mark's lyrics... when he asked me to collaborate on these, I had a good idea for them, but not the voice I would need. I thought it would be funny to have a Tom Waits kind of character give the instructions as a PSA. Kind of hard for someone like me, but then a week into FAWM, I got a bad chest cold and suddenly had the voice. I played my dad's banjo for the first time too! So much fun to make this song!

That drone that you just purchased
...went and purchased at the store
Here’s some things you gotta know
if it’s a half a pound or more
You gotta register that thing
as a U-A-S
With your name, with your number
and with home address

Before you charge it up
and start to let it to go

To fly your UAS in the good ol' USA
And stay within the rules set up by the big ol' FAA
