The anti-FAWM forces were trying to prevent collaboration, but we won... Owl managed to overcome a lot, and I am thankful as always, because her lyricism and vocal prowess always adds a bunch of wonderful layers to the songs I send her. This one, as in songs past, really transformed into a complete picture.

I really wanted to write another song with owl, but the things I had sent her just didn't seem right. Last weekend, I came up with a funky little electric piano song, while testing out some MIDI instruments. I came upon an electric piano and the main riff of this song was the first thing I played. I set it aside as I worked on other songs, but came back to it and played it on the Rhodes-y electric piano setting on my Yamaha P-120 and completed the song with drums and bass. Our song last year also used electric piano, so I sent it over. Reaper crashed on her computer and her WiFi wasn't working, but she managed to get me the files last night. She added the lyrics, vocals and a few synth parts.

Good thing I have a vacation day today!!!! 😀

owl: zecoop sent this to me while I was out of town on a weekend trip last weekend and wasn't able to work on it... then I got back and Reaper was constantly crashing and I wasted a lot of time... and then when I finally had it working and recorded and exported my parts to send over late last night, our wifi was down and I despaired of ever getting this collab done! I'm very happy to see we finally managed to defeat the sinister forces working against us. Really enjoyed the supremely catchy electric piano track zecoop sent over, and for once I ran out of words before managing to jam-pack every available space with them, so I filled the extra room with my second favorite thing, excessive synthesizer noodling
