about

Another quick song with my dad's awesome lyrics... This one is a true story. I've heard it for years and remember the offending car from my childhood. ๐Ÿ˜€

I hadn't gotten the glockenspiel out yet, so i was happy about that. This was a fun little song to write. I didn't even change one word! This is pretty rare for me. My songs almost never fit things easily. ๐Ÿ˜€

I played my 1970's Yamaha CP25 electric piano that I found at Goodwill. I also played my daughter's glockenspiel. Well, it USED to be my daughter's back when she played in the band at school. She was a percussionist all through high school and I 'borrowed' this years ago. ๐Ÿ˜€

lyrics

One time some wealthy friends
Invited me to play
At the local country club
On a pretty sunlit day

My car was an old beater
An Olds with standard shift
It also had a lot of rust
If you start to get the drift

I dressed up in my nicest
Clothes and shoes for fancy play
And started with high hopes
On that pretty sunny day

When suddenly a fluid
Came gushing tween the seats
The heater core had busted
And put Prestone a foot deep

Coming to the country club
The stuff had sloshed on me
The windows were all fogged
And I could barely see

I went ahead and played that day
Smelling of antifreeze
My shoes were soaked, my socks too
And my pants up to my knees

One time some wealthy friends
Invited me to play
At the local country club
On a pretty sunlit day

about

ZeCoop Kalamazoo, Michigan

I love playing music and keep learning new instruments. My songs are in a wide range of styles, from indie-rock to surf, to folk to rock to electronic... I never know. I record at home in a studio I put together in a spare room. I work (via the web) with a lot of vocal/lyric collaborators from all over the world.
