Infinite Game (Treading Bleu collab)

about

Treading Bleu wanted to do a collaboration song for FAWM this year...
We asked Rob to start (thinking we'd get drums) and it was so great - Rob writes such wonderful songs on guitar, but never gets to come out from behind the drums. He sent us this wonderful song on acoustic guitar! This will give us a chance to switch things up and have him play guitar at a show! I had so much fun with my Cajon, shakers and glockenspiel... Stacy amazed as always with a great set of lyrics and sweet vocals, and I can't wait to see what Chris comes up with!

lyrics

Why are we always so afraid?
To take a chance
To let come what may
It just might be the end of time
Before everything ever is fine

I wait for a place
That might sustain me for a while
And I dream of your face
And that it might hold my gaze for a while
And I wish for the day
That I could hold you by my side
An infinite game
Where I can hide my fear

We walk, we talk, we run
We maybe fall in love
As simple as the sun in the sky
And the stars in your eyes
Underneath the moonlight

This infinite game
Where I can hide my fear
We walk, we talk, we run
We maybe fall in love
As simple as the sun in the sky
And the stars in your eyes
Underneath the moonlight

'Cause I wait for a place
That might sustain me for a while
And I dream of your face
And that it might hold my gaze for a while
And I wish for the day
That I could hold you by my side
An infinite game
Where I can push my fears aside

And in the end
When it's all said and done
What have you said?
What have you done?

about

ZeCoop Kalamazoo, Michigan

I love playing music and keep learning new instruments. My songs are in a wide range of styles, from indie-rock to surf, to folk to rock to electronic... I never know. I record at home in a studio I put together in a spare room. I work (via the web) with a lot of vocal/lyric collaborators from all over the world.
