Market Square

about

I called this song Market Square after the market at the Port of Helsinki in Finland, which I visited for work last October and loved. Lots of boats selling fish, and other vendors selling food. While we ate, we were serenaded by an old Russian guy playing accordion. The organ I am playing in this song sounds like an accordion, although it is not. I do have one... and need to get it out sometime ,although I can't really play it.

This song was written on my 1960's Silvertone 604 acoustic 6 string guitar, that I got for $25 on Craigslist, and it was originally intended for a collaboration. But the person is in the middle of a move and didn't have time, so tonight I revisited it, and added some more acoustic stuff... My Farfisa Pianorgan made it's song debut tonight. I got it this summer for $20, also on Craigslist. It's a wind-reed organ, and has a blower pushing air over reeds. it is very noisy and you have to mic is right above the keys. I also used my Dean acoustic bass for the second time ever.

about

ZeCoop Kalamazoo, Michigan

I love playing music and keep learning new instruments. My songs are in a wide range of styles, from indie-rock to surf, to folk to rock to electronic... I never know. I record at home in a studio I put together in a spare room. I work (via the web) with a lot of vocal/lyric collaborators from all over the world.
