Nervous Night (ft Rob Cooperider)

So....... I wrote this one last weekend when my wife was not in the house and I had the amps turned way up again. I had the best time trying to figure out how to play different rhythms on every guitar. That part worked out great, but I couldn't play the drums to it, so I sent it over to Rob who did an amazing job - perfect style. Then I just had to add bass guitar...... and I couldn't figure out a part, so I set it aside for a second. Last weekend, lol.

...and tonight Rob asks me where that song went. I said I posted it and he let me know that I did not. Yep, I forgot all about it. I remembered that it was because I couldn't figure out a bass part, but TONIGHT, 5 seconds after I started the song, I was playing a bass part I loved, so there you go. FAWM training in action!

I used my Epiphone Traditional Pro II Les Paul, through my 1973 Traynor YBA1. I used humbuckers on one side and changed it to single coil for the other. Then I recorded the same guitar through my 1950's Silvertone 1331 amp for the middle. Jazz bass (tonight - yikes!)

Rob:
I always enjoy doing musical things with my brother. We write really differently, but our styles work together. He sent me this jagged but musical song and wanted some drums and I knew it would be cool in the end. He does such a nice job with production and precise playing, but I often have to record verbal cues with a mic before I record a track (in addition to visual marker cues on the recording session itself). Anyway, I guess I forgot to tell myself to wait for the next change in the middle with that lone crash!! Ah well, it all turned out good in the end and the results are good. I should post my spoken cues!! Hehe. Thank you for asking me to drum on this one. I think that it’s cool and another one for us together.
