*Original instrumental is a bonus track*
I started my FAWM with what I thought was going to be a surf song. I posted the instrumental on Feb 1, which I liked, although it was more of an indie/garage rock song. Turns out, it was even better with vocals!

ZeCoop: One of my very favorite things about FAWM is collaborating and realizing that a song that I thought was complete and perfect the way it was, was actually just waiting for the perfect addition. In this case, that would be Liz... I am completely floored by what she added. I cannot imagine NOT having the other half of this song now. Liz is amazing to write music with - THANK YOU!!/

Liz : Collaborating with John is one of my favourite parts of FAWM. Musically our styles are really different so I get to try on different characters and voices when I write with him. It’s especially fun to express emotions like the anger and frustration in this song in a safe place. The dark side to this song is that the kind of people that most get under our skin are those people who flaunt the kinds of flaws that we ourselves struggle to suppress.
Now I’m going to bed!
Liner Notes for original instrumental version:
**Update - kind of a FAWM tradition with me, especially with songs that have cold titles - I forgot to turn the furnace back on after I recorded the drum part this morning (it is right next to the drum kit) - About dinner time my wife and I both realized it was getting kind of cold in the house, haha
First song out the door - FAWM has begun! I went for a traditional (for me) surfy-reverby- instrumental and it was a LOT of fun. We have had a lot of really cold weather this winter with temps lately in the teens and single digits. We are supposed to get a bunch more snow the next few days. *Currently* it is 40 degrees but the temps are nose-diving again. I also just saw some great pictures from a friend who went to see some frozen waterfalls. I am sure someone has tried to snowboard down one of those, so I say we go surfing at Temperature Falls. :)

I was tempted to add this to the body part challenge, since I've nearly frozen some body parts off lately! ;)
