Steaming in Reverse

about

I decided to get experimental once again for my "winning" song. I ran my 1988 Yamaha PSS-170 through my Canyon delay (tape delay), MXR analog chorus and Oceans 11 reverb (reverse), for both the drums and chime settings, splitting the signal so I could also get a clean sound to mix in. I played around with the pedal settings with the drum pattern, and got it to sound like a steam train - I was pretty thrilled with that. I tried a few different sounds for the musical part, but chimes once again won out (also used those for Dawning) They sounded perfect in reverse for this one.

I added some bass and ambient 'strings' with my 1970's Roland RS-202 Strings synthesizer, faded the FX drums in and out and I think it sounds pretty great. 😀

about

ZeCoop Kalamazoo, Michigan

I love playing music and keep learning new instruments. My songs are in a wide range of styles, from indie-rock to surf, to folk to rock to electronic... I never know. I record at home in a studio I put together in a spare room. I work (via the web) with a lot of vocal/lyric collaborators from all over the world.
