ZeCoop:
So Alex and I have written songs together for the last few years and last year's was all about wishing for summertime (a thought I FULLY support), so when I suddenly had an incredibly upbeat acoustic guitar song on Feb 4th, I thought of him. I didn't give him any lyric ideas, though and called it 06FAWM2019, haha. I had acoustic 12 and 6 strings, and added drums, before sending it over. Alex had a lot going on but I wanted him to take his time anyway, since I was also busy. He sent me the vocals today and it was all kinds of wonderful harmonies and lyrics about SUNSHINE! Yayyyyy.
I had added bass guitar and a bunch of percussion, but once I had the vocals in there, I immediately knew it needed to have Hammond organ. BAM!!!
Thanks for writing another wonderful song with me, Alex!! 😀
Gear: Tacoma DM912 12 string, Breedlove Atlas Stage acoustic 6 string, Jazz bass, Ludwig drumset, Shakers, tambourine and Hammond M-100 organ
Metalfoot:
It's amazing to have such a great tune handed to you to work with. And it was fun doing the layered vocals on this (a first for a ZeCoop collab for me!). Thanks, John, for being patient with me while I got my other commitments squared away to give this song the attention it deserved. Definitely a keeper in my books!
