Another song with my dad! This song was really special - the lyrics tell a true story of my dad and his friend from Air Force basic training. The hadn't seen each other since 1954 and when my parents were travelling in the state where he lived, my dad looked in a phone book and found two people with that name. One of them was his friend and they got together for the first time in 50 years. They kept in touch ever since.

Sadly, he just let me dad know that his heart is not doing well and he has gotten the "end of life" talk from the doctor. Being perfectly honest, this song broke me up more than once when I was writing and practicing it. 😞 But it is a very touching reminder of how much friendships can impact us all.

I had plans to make a big production, but this one was just supposed to stay simple with an acoustic guitar.
