Unbreak My Heart (ft Liz Frencham)

I wrote this one with my electric 12 string guitar back on Feb 6th and knew it needed some vocal melody. Liz came up with a stunner that also fits the #notacover challenge from @ndavies where you write a song with the same title as a famous song.

My part was just the music, though, so here's what I did:

Agile Harm 3 electric 12 string, through a 1972 Traynor YGM-3 amp
Tacoma 912 acoustic 12 string
Fender Jazz bass
Lots and lots of shakers of all different types
Some cymbal wash with my 20" crash/ride
Some midi choir and cello from Spitfire Audio's LABS

Liz says:
One of my favourite parts of February is my now traditional @zecoop collaboration. John is beautiful to work with and always supportive of whatever direction I take. He also creates these MASSIVE comfy beds of sound to frolic in! It’s always such a foreign way to work for me - to have the harmony and form all laid out and to sit with the piece long enough for melody to start reaching out to me. The title of ‘Unbreak My Heart’ cemented it into a heart break mode. Though not as heart breaking as finishing the vocal only to discover I had accidentally deleted 90% of my work. I’ve decided that second vocal was better because anything else would have broken my heart
