First song is always one of the toughest for me... I took a long time making up my mind on which piece of my guitar noodling to write a song with. After about 1.5 hours of messing around, I came up with the opening guitar riff on this song and knew I could use that. Recorded the acoustic guitar next, then the bass, electric and organ. Finally the drums... I spent some time writing the parts and then actually recorded the whole thing in one take. There are lots of very messy parts, but I kept it all anyway.

The song has kind of a split personality and I wasn't sure if it was going to work, as I was writing it. I just kept adding parts to try to tie it all together.
