Alex and I made an 80's hair band heavy metal song last year, as kind of a joke, but it was REALLY fun - so we decided to do it again! The line between parody and seriousness is a very fine line. I had a whole lot of fun toeing that line. ;)

ZeCoop: So, last year, when the site turned pink and everyone turned into hearts, there was a really grumpy FAWMer who was VERY upset about it and let everyone know... Alex and I decided to write him a love song to let him know that FAWM still cared about him, even if he was ridiculous. We formed Glorious Disaster, and now... we... are... BACK BABY!! This year we decided to make a positive out of a negative situation that Alex will tell you about.

This song was so much fun to write and record! The scariest part for me was that it needed a guitar solo - but since hair band solos almost always have whammy bars and fast hammer-ons, I just played a solo that was 100% whammies and hammer-ons (and 0% talent), haha. Huge thanks to Alex for having so much fun with this and bringing the super rawk vocals!

metalfoot: WOO!!!! Yeah, no apologies for this lyric. It's a tongue-in-cheek way for me to continue to process through my real-life drama of the car accident I was in last week.

Besides that, it's just awesome to be back as the lead singer and lyricist of Glorious Disaster, the band that never cut their hair and never stopped believing it was the 80s. PURPLE SPANDEX 4EVER!!!
